Birthday Cake

Simon's Birthday, I order a cake for him from Patisserie Rui Artisanal @ Mont Kiara.

I originally order their famous Gateaux B52, but it was unavailable due to the very short notice, Crystal advice me to go for Opera instead. It was so much better than other Opera I had in KL. It was light, rich in taste but not overly creamy. Anyway, I designed the cake and was really proud with it. I am actually very surprise that I can actually describe the picture in my head like this.

My email to Crystal (the baker) was:
Hi Crystal,
This is Moo Yong, I called you earlier to check if it is possible for you to make a 1.5kg Gateaux B52 with 3D dragon artwork.
The artwork I have in mind is soemthing like the attached pdf file.
The tail and clouds can be sitting on the surface of the cake, the cake body in sky blue.
clouds color in white with black color lining to emphasis on the chinese fu.
upper body has to stand up perpendicular to cake surface, to make it easy to make the dragon body details, the upper body just make the dragon wear a red color Li-Ning T-shirt (herewith I also attached a pic of the logo).
And the dragon is also wearing a spec.
And finish with a Happy Birthday writtong on the front.
I have very little time and I draft the drawing of my design to send to the Crystal, it was like:
And I am very happy with the result. Crystal is a very talented baker. :)
And it was actually appear on Crystal Official Blog too, check it out! :)
