Macaron Workshop

We went to a Macaron Workshop last Saturday and it was really fun. 4 of us has been put into a group and have to share the tools and ingredient. The on hand experience was pretty limited due to huge number in a group but we did made some very delicious Macarons! :)

This was found on groupon deal, a Macaron Workshop provided by Taylors University. I would say the experience was only fair since the instructor was not really attentive and other than sharing this recipe, there is nothing much you can pick up from this workshop if you are newbie in baking like I do.

Below are the ingredients needed to make the macaron, and it was measure and provided as it is:
We first make some Italian Meringue then pour them into almond batter, and pipe them to baking tray.
After bake bake at 150 degree for about 8-10 minutes then leave them to chill. We actually bake longer than 8-10 minutes. I think it is because it wasn't preheat properly, I don't even know how long we need to preheat my oven... After it is all dry & chill that we could remove it from the baking paper. We first pair them up before pipe in filling.
Pipe the filling and fold them together. We didn't actually get to make the filling by ourself, this is pretty much all what we have made.

My share and TS share. They actually taste very nice. It is surprisingly easier than I thought before. But we definitely need some really expensive tools. Can't wait to start making those really delicious-looking recipe I found earlier!
